REMEMBERING NEVER: 'Con Artist' Video Posted Online
April 16, 2006REMEMBERING NEVER's video for the track "Con Artist" has been posted online at this location. "The video was filmed by director David Rodsky, who was really awesome and easy to work with," REMEMBERING NEVER vocalist Mean Pete said. "The video takes place in Brooklyn, and features a cop hanging out with a guy dressed up as Jesus, but we weren't really attempting to make any blatant commentary." Rob Fusco from MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD was supposed to play Jesus, but the band was on tour and he couldn't make it.
"Con Artist" comes off the Southern Florida band's latest CD, "God Save Us", which was released in February via Ferret Music. Produced by Zeuss (HATEBREED, THROWDOWN, MADBALL),the CD is described in a press release as "a full-on assault of savage, uncompromising hardcore with a message. The song lyrics as REMEMBERING NEVER fans have come to expect have no holds barred when dealing with both political and personal topics. Song deal with such subjects as same sex-marriage rights ('The Goddamn Busy Signal') to the power of women that is underestimated every day ('Selma', named after the main character in 'Dancer in the Dark') to the biographical about growing up in poverty ('White Devil')."
REMEMBERING NEVER have announced a spring tour with DEVILDRIVER, BURY YOUR DEAD, IF HOPE DIES, and ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER starting early May. The trek comes on the heels of a successful run with labelmates MADBALL, ZAO, SCARLET, and THE BANNER on the Ferret Music artist showcase "Under The Gun Tour", which celebrated the label's 10th anniversary. Of the "Under The Gun" trek, Mean Pete said, "Everyone on the tour was real awesome, and there were no egos, which is so important. This was our first time on tour with MADBALL, and it was really rewarding."
